At the Fall 2001 Director’s Roundtable
an obviously hot topic was of course Bioterrorism. Fortunately
we had as a guest Dr. Ron Atlas who is considered a leading expert
on the subject of Bioterrorism.
Dr. Atlas is a University of Louisville microbiology
professor and president of the American Society for Microbiology.
He is also the society’s co-chairman of the Task Force on
Biological Weapons.
Dr. Atlas recently
testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee’s terrorism
subcommittee and came to our meeting to bring us all up to date
on current and proposed legislation that attempts to deal with the
issue of biological weapons and helped us look at the possible impact
it is going to have on our institutions. You can Click
